When betting sports, it is good sports betting strategy to have accounts at multiple online sportsbooks. This allows you to take advantage of multiple bonus offers, as well as to have more outs when shopping for the best line. With these two factors in mind, these are our top choices for must have sportsbook accounts.

BetPhoenix Sportsbook Review

BetPhoenix is our number one choice for a must have sports betting account. This is for the reason that if you enjoy parlay bets, you can take advantage of their large sign up bonus, 20-100%, or if you’re a sharp sports bettor that makes only straight wagers, you can take advantage of their reduced juice offer. For full details see our BetPhoenix Review.

Bodog Sportsbook Review

Bodog has been in business for over 15 years. They are one of the top online sportsbooks for betting teasers, MMA, prop bets and underdogs in just about any sport. With same day direct cash transfer payouts, this is our second must have sportsbook account for USA players. To learn more, read our Bodog Sportsbook Review or get started at the Bodog website.

Other Good Sportsbooks

We recommend having an account at one of the following sportsbooks: BetUs.com, PlayersOnly and Sportsbook.com. BetUs is a decent choice due to their large initial bonus offer; however, for us, Sportsbook.com gets the nod. Sportsbook offers a 10% initial deposit bonus, but then offers a 5% reload on all future deposits. They also have some good early lines, nice prop bets, and plenty of promotions, such as half juice Fridays.

To learn more about these sportsbooks, click on their respective sportsbook review on our left side menu. Or to go with our recommendation, head right over to sportsbook.com and open an account.

Avoid Sports Betting Scams

While you won’t hear about this on ESPN or Forbes Magazine, as the media doesn’t like to acknowledge it, online sports betting is a massive industry to the tune of several billion dollars per month. Due to UIGEA these large sports books are not allowed to advertise on television, billboards and other high cost advertising sources, so what you’ll find is many are willing to pay BIG MONEY to so called independent reviews sites.

These sites such as RX, Covers, etc., are willing to sell advertising to any sportsbook that pays a premium price. In business, nothing is wrong with this, except for the practice these sites use in claiming their sportsbook reviews are unbiased and independent.

What we want to point out here is that big money is being paid to webmasters, so you might find 50+ different sites with a positive review on something that is nothing more than a scam site, who went on a massive advertising frenzy. So be careful and do your own research, be careful of independent sportsbook review sites as well as posts made in forums (these are often shills). Be smart, use your head, and avoid scam online sportsbooks.

To give credit where credit is due, some sites such as Gooners Guide, Sports Book Review (SBR), Bookmaker Review, seem to much less biased than a general sportsbook review website and do not seem to accept advertising offers from scam sportsbooks.
